Labor Day camping

This Labor day weekend we went camping up above Swan Lake, Idaho. Amber and Jim and I went with the Allen's and the Doolins. We had a great time in nature, walking the creek, playing cards, eating, looking for berries and eating some more and playing more games. Oh yeah, and we just relaxed and had a wonderful time!

Trek

We trek'd 14 miles of or so that first day!

The families made flags to go on their handcarts. The Keirsteds carried the Hoover family flag, they couldn't come at the last minute and they split up the kids between the two families.

Jim and I were just support on this trek so I walked along with our ward for a time and Jim stayed at the end of the group.

Ok were ready lets get this Trek going!

Kent and Jim the first day, after arriving at Desert Land and Livestock Trek. Where they loaded their handcarts and started pulling for the day.

Amber loves to play with the kittens! She has been putting them in this bag with balloons tied to it and carrying them around the house like their on a "Hot air balloon ride", she is sure going to miss them.

It's hair cutting time!

Nicole came home to take care of me last week while I recovered from Gal Bladder surgery. She was great we watched chick flicks and relaxed together. She also cut my hair, Jim's and Kent even let her cut his hair!

When I came home for the hospital, Amber had me these flowers and wrote me this note. She is such a sweet and caring daughter! I love her! Thanks Amber for the beautiful flowers and sweet note.

She asked me just today how it was to go back to work on Monday and how I felt while I was there.
